Navratri – Have you heard about this festival? It is popularly known and celebrated in India. Hindus regard this festival of Navratri with great significance and are also celebrated in many ways within India. The dates of this Navratri festival will change somewhat each year according to the Hindu Lunar Calendar.

The festival of Navratri always starts on the Pratipada – the first day of the Hindu month Chaitra ( March – April) and also again in the Sharad (September – October).

What is the speciality of the festival Navratri?

During this Navratri nine goddesses will be worshipped over these nine days. Here in the word “Navratri” – ‘Nava’ means ‘nine’ and ‘Ratri’ means ‘Night’. This explains the nine nights of this special festival.

According to some people, the most significant aspect of this festival is the practice of charity. This is the practice which is followed by Rakesh Rajdev all these years.

This year Rakesh Rajdev and Rupalben organized a special event for young girls during the Navratri. They planned the exciting day at Fun World Amusement Park in Rajkot. They invited thousands of small kids who don’t have much money to enter the park. They were treated with free rides and also they were offered sweets and snacks during the day.

The kids were offered ice creams, popcorn and cold drinks. For their support for education, they were offered lunch boxes, school bags and water bottles. The donations for the children were offered in memory of the late mother of Rakesh RajdevVimlabenRajdev. The kids loved every minute they spent here. Also, they carried out the traditional Garba dance in a circle around a clay lantern.

Have you heard about the festival Navratri? Hindus regard the festival of Navratri with great significance and is usually celebrated throughout the country in several ways. But the dates of the festival change somewhat each year based on the Hindu month of the lunar calendar. The festival usually starts on Pratipada – the first day of the Hindu month Chaitra (March/April) and again in the Sharad (September/October).

During the Navratri, nine goddesses will be worshipped over the nine days. Nava – means nine and Ratri means night. This explains the nine nights of festivities and one of the most important features of the festival is the practice of charity.

Many social workers get involved in social welfare practices and support several families and people. Rakesh Rajdev and Rupalben Rajdev from Gujarat are among such people. They are from Rajkot, Gujarat. They are the founder of many businesses and a social welfare organization.

The couple do a great job in organizing the special events. This year, they organized an event during Navratri. Since the coronavirus spread has decreased and people are getting back to normal, they organized an event to bring new hope to the children.

Rakesh Rajdev and Rupalben Rajdev organize different special events each year and this year they planned an exciting day at the Fun World Amusement Park in Rajkot. They invited thousands of small kids who don’t have much money to visit such places.

These kids were treated with free rides and all the sweets and snacks that small kids love were also provided. It includes cold drinks, popcorn and ice cream. They also received free gifts to help with their education. It includes the items such as school bags, lunch boxes, water bottles and other things too.

The donations were offered to the kids in memory of the late mother of Rakesh Rajdev– Vimlaben Rajdev. Also, the kids loved every minute of this celebration. Some of the girls also did the traditional Garba dance in response to the DJ’s music. It is also a symbolic dance that celebrates the feminine form of divinity. The name of the dance is the Garba which comes from the Sanskrit word Garbha which means Womb. Also, the dance was performed by the girls and women in a circle around a clay lantern.

These were offered as a donation in the memory of late mother of Rakesh Bhai Rajdev, Vimlaben.
